Steampunk Form and Function

Back in April, I announced the beginning of a contest being hosted by Steampuffin, The Steampunk Form and Function Design Competition. Many, many months later, the winners of the contest have been selected, and their works are now on display at the Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation in Waltham, MA.

The exhibit opened on October 22, 2010 and runs through May 10th, 2011.  Admission is $5 for the general public and $3 for seniors\students; admission is free for children under six.   The Museum is located at 154 Moody Street in Waltham, MA 02453.  For museum hours more information visit http://www.crmi.org or call 617 893 5410.

For more information on the exhibt, visit the museum’s page on it. And for an outsider’s view of the exhibit and Steampunk in general check out this article from WBUR Boston that has a refreshingly positive outlook.
